Ubi-Camera, Take Photos with Your Fingers

If that title hasn’t got you curious I don’t know what will. The Ubi-Camera harks back to the times when we framed our pictures before we even took them. By framing I mean the act of actually framing them with one finger and thumb on each hand before taking it, not hanging it on the wall.

The Ubi-Camera is currently still in development by the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences, but I hope it ..

Slimmest Optical Camcorder in the World, Genius G-Shot HD575T

Remember when the humble camcorder was about the same size as a fridge? No one complained back then of course, just as they didn’t complain when the first video recorder came out and took about three hours to carefully rewind each tape.

To paraphrase their catchphrase, no one does cameras quite like Canon does. But if the huge serious looking cameras designed for dedicated photographers don’t quite do it for you, you should consider the new IXUS range of cameras. They’re designed to appeal to those people who like popping their camera into their front pocket, much as they do with their mobile phone.

The IXUS 500 HS is a superb model to consider if you fall into ..

Sony Announces a57 DSLR, 16.1MP, Shoots 12fps

If you’re going to buy a new DSLR you certainly have plenty of models on the market to choose from. I get confused at the mere mention of lenses and zooms and filters, but if I was going to buy one of these babies I’d think about getting the brand new Sony a57 DLSR.

It’s a chunky and familiar looking model that packs plenty of punch into its offering. This particular model also has Sony’s great Translucent ..
