Polaroid Z2300 Camera with Instant Print Launched‎

Polaroid Z2300 CameraPolaroid has just unveiled a brand new camera at the CEA Line show, in New York City this week. Its name isn’t the most memorable, just a pile of letters and numbers. The Z2300 is fully digital, with a 10 megapixel sensor.

With the myriad of compact cameras currently on the market, Polaroid certainly needs a unique selling point; the built-in inkless printer in the Z2300 looks to be just the ticket.

Polaroid are using zero ink printer paper technology, first used in their PoGo instant printers. The paper is pre-embedded with cyan, yellow, and magenta dye crystals. The crystals are clear before printing, they change to the required colours when heated up in the print process. The printer can pop-out a 2×3-inch full colour photo in just under a minute.

The Z2300 camera measures 4.7x3x1.4-inches, it features a 3-inch LCD screen, the screen opens to reveal space for the printer paper.

The camera will be available mid-August 2012 and is priced at $159.99. You can pre-order at Polaroid.com. Packs of printer paper are priced at $24.99 for 50 sheets, you can also pick up 30 sheet packs for $14.99.Polaroid Z2300 Camera
