Hot Wheels iNitro Speeders, iPhone Controlled Cars

| February 20, 2012 |

If you have $32.99 (£25) to spare you might just want to invest in one of the iNitro Speeders range of racing cars from Hot Wheels. You can use an iPhone, iPod or iPad to get on the road, there is also a normal controller which doubles as storage and a charging unit.  It’s quite amazing to give this a go, because you’ll feel like you’ve transformed your iDevice into something completely different.

The iNitro Speeders have been created by Hot Wheels, so this is backed by a big name. There are several different cars available so you can choose whichever one you’d like if you could get it in real life size. We can all dream, can’t we?

The cars are small, coming in at one and three quarter inches in length, and they are an inch wide, so you’ll need to be careful not to lose them. The car responds well to being controlled in this way, and you only need to plug the device into the headphone jack on your iDevice to get started.

I really want one of these, if only to test the various ways in which you can choose to control the car. Yes, you can really test your driving skills here, and I’ve no doubt I would get to work setting up ramps, courses and stunts for the little car to try.

I’d be doing it in the name of research, of course. These things have to be done, so if anyone is looking for birthday ideas for me, now you know what to get.
