Compact Camera, GPS, 20X Zoom, Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20

How slim is the average camera getting today? They’re becoming more like credit cards every day. Take the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 for example. This baby manages to be as slim as 1.1” because of the new lens technology that’s packed inside it.

You won’t believe they’ve hidden a 20x zoom lens inside the casing because the compact nature of the camera is that small. I’ve always wanted something powerful but small and this camera pretty much seals the deal for me.

It also packs in 14.1 megapixels, giving most casual photographers plenty of oomph for all those special pictures. And yes, you can make videos on it too. It’s more expensive than your average compact camera, but then you’re getting a whole lot more for your money as well.

The figures add up to around $350 (£240) at the moment, so it will be interesting to see what that equates to when it hits the UK market. But for my money the GPS abilities make this camera even easier to use. How many times do you take pictures and forget to make notes of where each one was taken?

It’s easy enough to figure it out if you were at a wedding at the time, but what about all those holiday snaps? No worries – the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20 gives you a GPS function that enables you to see where each one was taken on a map online. It’s easier than ever to label all your pictures for posterity.
