Nikon’s Coolpix L810 is amongst the latest digital cameras in the market. Its CCD image sensor delivers 16.1 megapixel images. It has a 3” 921K dot TFT LCD Clear Colour Display which allows wide viewing angles as also clear display even under direct sunlight or in reflected light indoors.

Its NIKKOR lens has a focal range equivalent to 22.5 mm wide angle to 585 mm telephoto equivalent in 35 mm format. This means you can take pictures of a panoramic landscape just as easily and well as that of your pet dog or your best friend.

The L810 is no slouch in the zoom department either, coming as it does with 26x optical zoom capability. Nikon has added a vibration reduction feature that ensures better image quality and less “shake”. The lens-shift vibration reduction feature can also be used while recording videos.

Talking of video, you can record 720 p HD video with stereo sound. You can even take 3D pictures. HDMI connectivity allows you to connect the L810 to your big-screen LCD TV and watch your holiday videos in super-sized glory.

In terms of form factor, the L810 remains a compact camera. Like its predecessors, this model too allows a firm, steady grip and side zoom control. The camera itself is available in a choice of black, bronze, blue or red.

The Nikon Coolpix L810 runs on AA alkaline or Lithium batteries. This makes this camera ideal for photographers who travel across continents, encountering not just multiple time-zones but also a range of electrical power outlets and adapter or plug formats.
