Chameleon X-1 Gamepad and Mouse

| January 12, 2012 |

If you use a desktop computer, you’ll use a mouse. This might seem like an obvious statement, but hang on, I do have a point. If you’re a PC gamer, you’ll probably have a selection of controllers too.

Here’s where your problems start, numerous controllers ultimately lead the way to cluttered mess – something no home office should have to deal with. Luckily the clever boys at Shogun Bros.

have come up with a clever solution to this problem. Get ready to be excited – it’s a mouse that’s also a console controller! What’s that? How is this possible? Allow me to explain.

It’s quite clever; Shogun Bros. have put the gaming controls on the underbelly of what first appears to be a traditional mouse. With a simple flick of a switch, you can transform the mouse into a WASD controller, which has a luxurious selection of leather buttons.

It only needs one battery to run wirelessly too, so it’s not a bank breaking product either. You can currently only order the Chameleon X-1 Gamepad Mouse from the US. If you do fancy flying one over to the UK, expect to pay around £40. Those clever Shogun Bros haven’t limited you to just one colour choice here either.

It’s available in Passion Red, Graphite Grey, and Essential Purple. When the mouse makes a formal appearance at CES 2012, expect to see two more colours – Altair White and Ezio Grey.

You don’t get any added extras with the different colour choices, but it’s good to have options.
