Rollerman Reaches Speeds of 70 MPH

We’ve all had internet trawling days, haven’t we? We don’t have anything to accomplish, we don’t need to buy anything, and we’re sick to death of tweeting our friends, so instead we spend hours and hours clicking on link after link of WikiPedia pages and YouTube videos.

If you’ve had one of those days recently, you’ll probably have stumbled upon the exploits of Jean-Yves Blondeau. What? The name doesn’t sound familiar? Well, maybe you are more familiar with his alter ego – Rollerman!

If you still have no idea what I’m talking about, let me try to fill you in. Mr Blondeau has taken on the guise of Rollerman and has been racking up some serious YouTube hits with his exploits.

Whilst wearing a suit almost entirely composed of roller blade wheels, he gets some serious speed, going down hill over various spaces, all the while appearing like a very low flying Superman.

You’re probably wondering why this is a good thing – well it isn’t really, in fact it’s down right dangerous and each video he posts should definitely come with a ‘don’t try this at home’ warning, that you would be wise to pay attention to.

However puerile it is and whatever your view on demolishing roller blades is, once you see one video you will have to watch another and another and another, because it looks so scarily cool.

The Rollerman suit was created as part of Blondeau’s final graduation project and allows him to reach 70 mph speeds, much better than a boring Dissertation.
