Before the days of touchscreen handsets, a flip phone with an outer display screen that told you if you’d missed any calls or received any texts. Secondly, you can buy it in numerous different colours – this may not seem like a big deal, but believe me, it was!
The clever people at Motorola have recently rebooted the RAZR brand, this time as a touch screen smartphone. Without much of a wait, a new super duper version of the reboot has been announced.
The RAZR Maxx will be a 4G smartphone, which hopefully will come with an Ice Cream Sandwich OS that can show us all manner of fancy widgets on its 720p HD 4.3inch screen.
As great as a 4G phone would be, it’s worth mentioning that the UK won’t have 4G until 2015 at least and as most of us will change our phones quite a few times in the next three years, it’s a rather redundant feature here.
The release date for the Motorola RAZR Maxx hasn’t been confirmed yet and neither has the initial retailing price. As it’s an update to the recently released Motorola RAZR reboot, you can expect to pay anything upwards of $600 (£400) for a sim free handset.
There’s even word that the phone won’t be coming to UK shores.
