EXOdesk: 40-inch Interactive Desk from ExoPC

Do you have a cluttered desk at home? Papers piled upon papers, stray stationary strewn all over the place? Do you have a collection of tangled USB cables lurking around on there too?

Well if you do and you’re happy with your current setup, the EXOdesk probably isn’t for you. This shiny new gadget doesn’t do clutter. This desk is all about features – features which are all integrated into the desk.

There hasn’t been much information released about the EXOdesk yet. Take a look at the video demo below, it shows off some of the features, including widget hub and a pull-down timeline feature for news or social media activity.

The 40 inch multi touch desk will run Microsoft’s surface software and is able to feature full screen (or rather desk) applications. If you are so inclined, you could turn your EXOdesk into a full electronic piano for example. This is a special piece of tech.

The current RRP for the EXOdesk is $1299 (£829), which is a lovely surprise in a market that’s dominated by multi touch desks, like the also recently announced Samsung SUR40, which retail nearer to the £5000 mark.

If you can’t wait to snap up one of these bargain EXOdesks, here’s some bad news, a release date has yet to be announced, and you probably won’t get a proper look at it until January’s Consumer Electronics Show.

Alternatively, you’ll only have to wait until January to get your hands on the pricey Samsung device instead – you can preorder the SUR40 now.
