The Asus Zenbook is a major competitor to the Macbook Air and the Acer Aspire S3 by boasting a 13.3 inch UX31 in addition to an 11.6 inch UX21. This is in order to combine these ultra-thin factors with excellent performance without the need to sacrifice in either of these categories.

It seems kind of crazy that $300 million in funds were needed from Intel in order to get the notebook creators to develop Air-like ultra books from Macbook. However, it is fair to say that the latest results from Asus are pretty impressive.

The 13.3 inch Zenbook provides a large 1600 x 900 resolution and includes up to 256GB SSD with a USB 3.0. It also houses an Intel Core i7 or a Corei5 processor and offers a multi-touch trackpad. With its 4GB of RAM and powered sound from Bang and Olufsen, the product is sure to impress notebook lovers from all walks of life.

With regards to its dimensions, the Asus Zenbook is just 0.71 inches thick at the chunkiest points and weighs a mere 2.86 pounds. One of the best features of this product is that the battery life claims to last 7 hours when the product is turned on, and up to 10 days when it is in standby mode.

The Zenbook UX21 and 31 both perform well; they enable fast web browsing and are easy to transport. However, they are not the sturdiest products and the keyboard may not be the best on the market.
The UX21 and the UX31 Zenbooks are retailing at $1,000 and $1,100 respectively.
