The new ViewSonicViewPad 10e, a new android tablet boasting IPS display, is a more affordable version of the company’s tablet collection. However, there is currently no clarity on the price or availability of this product as of yet, so don’t go charging at any shop doors just yet.
Despite its hopefully lower price, the ViewSonicViewPad 10e boasts an impressive 1024 x 768 screen resolution, including in-plane switching (IPS) which provides better viewing angles than other tablets in this more affordable price range.
The gadget offers the equivalent resolution, pixel density and aspect that owners would receive from the iPad 2 and comes with all of the latest technology to outperform its rivals, which includes 400nits.
The ViewSonic ViewPad 10e also boasts a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and excellent memory storage with its 512MB of RAM and internal memory of 4GB. The memory capacity can also be boosted even further with the insertion of a microSD card into the device.
Another great feature of this tablet is its 3.5mm headphone jack and its internal Wi-Fi, which accompanies Bluetooth 3.0 all neatly included in the gizmo. Photos taken with the 1.3 megapixel camera will look great on the large screen but unlike other tablets, the camera is only forward-facing.
One of the main disadvantages of the ViewSonicViewPad 10e is the fact that it is not Google certified. This is by no means the end of the world, although people are not able to benefit from popular apps like Gmail.
The good news is this tablet does function as an eBook reader with the Kindle app and comes with the special ViewScene 3D that features on the ViewPad 7x.
